Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia Compost Operations Miller Compost, a division of the Miller Group, a privately owned Canadian company with a strong emphasis on waste diversion. Miller Compost became part of the Nova Scotia composting landscape in 1995 when they constructed the first In-Vessel Wide Bed compost facility for the Municipality of Lunenburg. This facility is able to handle 16,000 metric tonnes of organic material per year. This was a design/build project followed by a design, build and operate facility for the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) which began operating in December 1998. Since that time, another facility was designed and built in Pictou County which was opened in 2000. This is one of the smallest compost facilities Miller Compost has designed. It is able to receive 6,500 metric tonnes of organic material per year. Please select your destination
