It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear friend and colleague, Ms. Julie McArthur, daughter to Leo McArthur, President and CEO, the Miller Group and sister to Blair McArthur, Senior Vice President, the Miller Group, on October 25, 2007. Julie started her career with McAsphalt Industries in 1987 as a Marketing Supervisor for their retail gasoline chain. She transferred to Miller Waste several years later and has played a significant role within the recycling group since that time.

Julie was an invaluable member of the Miller team in all areas of the company. She was well known and highly respected by employees of both Miller and McAsphalt. She was a great friend to each and every one of us. We will miss her bubbly personality, her genuine caring nature and her wonderful smile.

Julie devoted much of her personal time to various charities and community services. She volunteered with the Yellow Brick House and campaigned for both the United Way and the Canadian Cancer Society. Her generosity and her untiring spirit will be sadly missed by all of us.

We wish to extend our deepest condolences to Leo, Helen, Blair, Shawneen and the entire McArthur family.
