Each of these Georgia Counties has developed a budget to perform a full depth reclamation project as required and have found the process to minimize the impact on the environment by reducing the amount of materials brought to and from the site thereby conserving fuel and other precious resources. Also they have found initial savings by recycling the existing road materials in-place which have already been bought. Since there is less haul in removal and replacing material, cost savings are found, construction time is less, traffic disruptions are less and hazards left during non working periods are minimized.
In most cases in-place recycling costs less than conventional construction methods. The scope of services include field material sampling and evaluation, development of a mix design, full depth reclamation and construction of a stabilized base course utilizing stabilizing additives. Also included is utility locates, erosion control (as needed), maintenance of traffic, relocation of mailboxes (as needed), installation of wearing surface, top dressing shoulder with seeding and mulching and clean up.
