Miller Atlantic team members with prepared food at Ronald McDonald House

Giving Back

Members of our Miller Atlantic team in Nova Scotia spent time volunteering at the new Ronald McDonald House in Halifax! They prepared a home-cooked meal of lasagna and apple crisp for families staying at the facility. Ronald McDonald House Charities offers a safe, comfortable place for families to stay close to their sick children while they receive treatment. They offer support and resources families need – including meals like the one prepared by the Miller Atlantic team. This is how our Miller members live our values every day.

A pile of food donations at Miller's head office

Annual Food Drive

Teams from across Miller came together to create holiday food displays, collecting donations for their local food banks while putting their imagination to work. Non-perishable items were collected at the annual holiday luncheon at our head office and donated to the York Region Food Bank in time for the holiday season. With the demand for food banks in Canada rising in 2025 according to Food Banks Canada, Miller was proud to once again collect donations for organizations in our communities through our annual holiday food drive.

Hike for Hospice

Hike for Hospice

In May 2025, members of our Huron Construction team raised over $7,000 for the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. The team participated in a 5km Hike for Hospice, helping the foundation reach their goal of $150,000 for the year. The Huron Highway Heroes team also won the corporate challenge with the highest average fundraising per team member, but the real winners are those that will benefit from the funds raised. Miller is proud to support initiatives that reflect our values of giving back to the communities where we live and work. We believe in doing the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.
