CULTURE AND
COMMUNITY

Social and community involvement are essential elements in what it means to be Miller. When we feel a sense of belonging to the communities where we live and work, we perform better as a team. Being active in our communities and making a contribution enables us to make meaningful connections with our neighbours. We leverage our global network to make a positive local impact, building trusted relationships that enrich everyone’s quality of life.

Truth and Reconciliation Crosswalk

Truth and Reconciliation Crosswalk in Saugeen Shores

The Miller Group was honoured to contribute to the opening of the Truth and Reconciliation Crosswalk at GC Huston Public School in Saugeen Shores, where 50% of the students are Saugeen First Nations.

The Huron Country Board of Education, Town of Saugeen Shores and Saugeen First Nations Council worked together on an initiative to bring continued light to past atrocities but also to chart new beginnings in the community by holding a very special event. Miller was proud to lend our support to the design and construction of their vision. Greg Johnson and Tyler Corrigan led the Line Paint Team in creating the commemorative crosswalk.

Road Hockey 2022

2022 Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer

Scotiabank’s Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer 2022 was a rousing success, raising over $2.6 million for Cancer Research. As the world’s largest hockey fundraiser supporting the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, The Miller Group was proud to once again represent with a team that proudly went 4-0! The all-day event featured hundreds of road hockey games, and over 1,500 players and volunteers united by one common goal: to conquer cancer in our lifetime.

This is The Miller Group's seventh year participating in this exciting event and we once again surpassed our fundraising goal by raising $20,000! All funds raised go to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation for crucial research, therapies and treatments.
