The 407 East Extension Phase 2 Project is a major infrastructure undertaking that will extend Highway 407 eastward from Harmony Road, Oshawa to Highway 35⁄115 near Clarington, Southern Ontario. The extension will be a 22 kilometer, four lane roadway.

Phase 2A: East-west section from Harmony Road to Taunton Road/​Highway 418.

Phase 2B: East-west section from Highway 418 to Highway 35⁄115 and 10 kilometer north-south highway (Highway 418) connecting Highway 407 to Highway 401.

Highway 407 and Highway 418 will be owned by the Government of Ontario.
