HWY 401 and Leslie Bridge Pour

On July 4, 2024, the project team at the MTO 2022 – 2013 – HWY 401& Leslie project successfully completed the deck pour of the Don River bridge. This significant milestone involved pouring 912 cubic meters of concrete over a span of more than 22 continuous hours, requiring meticulous coordination of numerous resources to ensure a smooth operation.

407 Extension — Phase 1

The Extension of Highway 407 ETR from the Brock Road Interchange Eastern Limit in Pickering to the Harmony Road Interchange Eastern Limit in Whitby/​Oshawa (approx. 20.3 km), including the West Durham Link (WDL), east of Lake Ridge Road, serving as a north-south freeway connector to Highway 401 (approx.10 km), and a realignment of Highway 401 (approx. 5 km) and new lanes will total approximately 148 km.

407 Extension — Phase 2

The 407 East Extension Phase 2 Project is a major infrastructure undertaking that will extend Highway 407 eastward from Harmony Road, Oshawa to Highway 35⁄115 near Clarington, Southern Ontario. The extension will be a 22 kilometer, four lane roadway.
