Colas Canada and the Miller McAsphalt Corporation announced today the closing of the transaction which joins Miller Group and McAsphalt with the Colas Canada network. The transaction obtained approval under the Investment Canada Act and from the Canadian Competition Bureau with no material changes to the structure and operational vision initially contemplated.
TORONTO, Ontario, March [1], 2018 –– Colas Canada and the Miller McAsphalt Corporation announced today the closing of the transaction which joins Miller Group and McAsphalt with the Colas Canada network. The transaction obtained approval under the Investment Canada Act and from the Canadian Competition Bureau with no material changes to the structure and operational vision initially contemplated.
The successful completion of the transaction creates a premier road construction, transportation infrastructure and asphalt supply company active in all regions of Canada. Uniting Miller Group’s road construction and maintenance ability, McAsphalt’s national liquid asphalt terminal network, and Colas’ diversified international construction experience will create compelling opportunities for customers and position the company to deliver on the most significant construction projects in the country.
Colas Canada, Miller Group and McAsphalt have worked on some of the most significant road and transportation projects in the country including the Highway 407 Express Toll Route in Ontario, the Sea to Sky Highway improvement in British Columbia, and the Iqaluit Airport.
